Nice article; good bar - but they left out how ridiculously smoky it is in there. How if you leave - you can't wash that smell off for approximately 2-3 days.
And it's odd because every other bar has the same smokers with the same cigarettes, and yet the landmark has a distinct smell. Kinda like you were chain smoking while sitting on a campfire for a few hours.

That is definitely true. That smell is one of a kind. I think if the city ever went smoke free that smell wouldn't go away its in the walls

don't know of that place my ass - even though you moved to chicago you still probably smell of landmark you were there so often...=)
i haven't been there in probably well over a year and i'm sure there is something in my wardrobe that has that distinctive 'landmark' smell.
