My blog not obnoxious enough

Ok.

I'm getting antsy. I changed the layout to something more work friendly but for the next week I am going to make it as obnoxious as my myspace page.

So I guess it is look over your shoulders week on my blog. (well next week)

going to find obnoxiousness now.

ted.

I say boo...

to people who say I take to many pictures of myself. It's been winter and I don't go outside much.

I also say boo to my toe. Which I admitting almost ripped off the other night in a horrible going to bed accident. I apologized to the toe and went to sleep. It how ever was not happy with the apology and hurts.

Stupid toe.

Dog and Cat Diaries

I am sure some of you have this before. It funny to me so I am posting it. My sister sent this in email today.

Cat & Dogs Diaries

Excerpts from a Dog's Daily Diary:

8:00 am - Dog food! My favorite thing!

9:30 am - A car ride! My favorite thing!

9:40 am - A walk in the park! My favorite thing!

10:30 am - Got rubbed and petted! My favorite thing!

12:00 pm - Lunch! My favorite thing!

1:00 pm - Played in the yard! My favorite thing!

3:00 pm - Wagged my tail! My favorite thing!

5:00 pm - Milk bones! My favorite thing!

7:00 pm - Got to play ball! My favorite thing!

8:00 pm - Wow! Watched TV with the people! My favorite thing!

11:00 pm - Sleeping on the bed! My favorite thing!

Excerpts from a Cat's Daily Diary:

Day 683 of my captivity:

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape.

Day 714 of my captivity

In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the floor. Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a "good little hunter" I am. The audacity!

Day 802 of my captivity

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage. Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs.

Day 950 of my captivity

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously mentally challenged!

Pre-Laser Picture

When I looked at these pictures, I thought man it looks like I got punched in the eye. For all you wondering I didn't. I don't know why I have that loving effect today.

Anyway, here is the before picture:

Today's Poll

Update: The tallies are in 100% of the votes went to rhinestone cowboy.

I think I may be losing my mind. Anyway here you go.

What's this year's new black

Its the DUI. Celebrity's all over the place are drinking and driving. You would think with all that money they could get someone to drive them from the bar or whatever drinking establishment they go to. Well I don't know how well I could recover from a DUI so I will stick to drinking and walking. I'll take my chances with a public drunkeness charge.

laser beams

I am having my eye lasered today. I wish it was corrective vision lasers but I am not that lucky.

I can't wait to get this over with. Maybe when they are done I will be able to shoot lasers out of my eye. That would be fun.

I'm Ready

For people to buy me gifts.

Just putting that out there. I like gifts in the forms of twizzlers, lemonheads, torilla chips, dinner and purses, in case you wanted to know (for some reason that I am not hinting at)

I just ate a cookie

That said: Girl Scouting is about about Values.

I'm ok with that as long as they continue to make cookies.

New Cookoff Idea

So I was reading this guys ramen blog and got this idea. I think we should have a ramen cookoff.

There are of course rules to a ramen cookoff such as you have to use both the ramen noodles and the seasoning packet. After that you could make as many additions as you would like. Oh and we should all start of with the same caliber of Ramen. I think the easiest to obtain is Marchuan (I know I spelled that wrong) brand.

Just an idea.

ted.

I have a problem...

with Taco Bell. I do plan my Taco Bell trips because I could eat there everyday. I planned a trip today and even decided what i was going to get. I bought lettuce from home along with some rice and black beans so I could construct a salad with the addition of a chicken soft taco supreme. Well I got to the ordering Window and needed a nachos supreme. So I ordered both. The salad is good and so are the nachos. I would have been fine with just the salad. The damn nachos. Now I'm full. I haven't eaten half of my salad or half of the nachos. Now I think most of us were taught not to be wasteful. What's a girl to do? Now I fell like I wasted both.

ted.

Pictures

So as many of you know I went out on St. Patrick's Day and had tons of fun. Many of you may also know that I broke my camera (and left the battery at work) so I didn't take any pictures at all. Not to worry I hung out with Leah during the day and I stole her pictures and put them on my flickr site.

St' Patrick's Day Pictures

Good and Bad

Well there is good news and bad news. Not severely bad news but oh well. Today it is 78 degrees (good news), a beautiful non rainy day (good news), I found my id this morning (good news). So there is the good news.

Now the bad news, I woke up late again. Totally my fault but why can't I go to bed at 12am and wake up at 6:30am. Also as a coping mechanism for the new heat my body decided that sweating would be the best course of action. Which I am not happy about but I guess that means that part or my brain/body is working.

Anyway enjoy the warm weather everyone.

Attention Span problems

I have attention span problems. This is not new to me. Something I learned in middle school and was a slight problem in college. Since this isn't news you must be wondering why I am writing about it now. Well I was reading an article about a guy that has a movie. I read the first few paragraphs and had to quit. I didn't want to I had to. I needed to do something else, anything else. Since this is not class I can't sleep.

Anyway.

Rain Music

It's raining it's pouring
the old man is snoring
he went to bed
and bumped his head
and didn't wake up in the morning

Now I know my lyrics are slightly wrong. The difference between didn't and couldn't are probably big here.

Tomorrow is the first day of Spring

Well tomorrow is the 1st day of spring and I demand it be spring tomorrow much like today.

ted.

Hope everyone had a great St. Patrick's day

Well I started as early as I can start on St. Paddy's day. 9:30am. I drank a lot of green beer. Then went home for a nap then more drinking. Well there was one repercussion from that day. My eye, you know the bad one, now hurts and is swollen. What did I do, you ask. I don't know. Woke up on Sunday and it hurt. There could be plenty explanations. I think it has to do with eyelashes and mascara. That's just a guess though. Overall a good day.

VH1 streaming Joss Stone

For any of the Joss Stone fans out there. VH1 is streaming her new album here. If you are a fan go check out. I am listening to it right now.

Update: Well I just finished listening to the cd and it is Joss Stone. If you like her other cds then you will like this one. It is featuring Common and Lauryn Hill. As a Joss stone fan I think I might purchase this one.

Word order makes a difference

So I just watched an infomercial for Ron Popeil's rotisserie deal and the interview the audience. Although I unterstood the meaning of what this lady was saying. I couldn't think of anything other than this woman eating people.

I know I yell at people for correcting me and I don't care how people speak as long as I can understand them but here is what she said.

"I had prime rib roast with company for dinner..."

Oh well.

In Preparation for St. Patrick's Day

I am still not sure what I am doing on St' Patrick's Day but I am all prepared.

I brought green nail polish, which was really hard to find. It is a really sheer pale green. I thought about mix blue and yellow to make a bright green but I am lazy.

I bought green eye shadow, two shades. I tried them out last night and I know which one I like the most.

I have my green shirt that reads "Ireland".

You know I have my drinking pants, so I am ready to go. Now to make plans.

SInce I have shopping on my mind.

I was thinking about the fashion capitals of the world and how Pam is on her way to one. In case you don't know what they are here is a list:

1. New York
2. London
3. Milano/Roma
4. Paris
5. Los Angeles
6. Tokyo
7. Dubai
8. Mumbai
9. Singapore
10. Buenos Aires

I think I should go on a fashion adventure in a few of these places.

Does this have any importance at all. Of course not but I watched America's Next Top Model yesterday so I was thinking in this direction.

Salt Craving

I need something salty like french fries. Or chips. Salt, salt, salt, salt, salt, salt, salt, salt.

I am going to attempt...

replacing my LCD screen on my camera. And I'm scared.

Here's why. I am very good at taking thing apart. Not so good at putting them back together.

So I called a camera place and they told me it would be $150 to repair my camera. Now that is just stupid because for an extra $100 I could buy a camera. I would love to buy a new camera but I can't afford the $150 to repair the camera. The camera works now I just can't see them or adjust any of the settings which make the camera useless.

The reason why I am going to attempt to do this myself. I can get a replacement LCD screen for about $57 + $6 s&h from Canon. I will need some supplies to do this though. Such as tiny screw drivers, according to one website, a needle, some tape to keep all the screws.

What to do what to do?

Remember the new purse...

well that wasn't the only thing I bought. Here is a picture of me wearing my new sunglasses and new earrings.

Daylight Savings Time is ruining my life

That is all I have to say about the matter.

Have you adopted your Southeast Asian baby yet??

Well if you haven't you are behind on the times. Angelina Jolie just adopted her 2nd. First from Cambodia next from Vietnam.

Well some may believe she bought a baby (for $2,000,000) there was an adoption ceremony. I am not sure what that means but oh well.

Some of you know my feelings on buying babies.

If baby adopting (buying) was a sport Angelina would be #1.

I know what your thinking. There is an adventure in this, anyone want to go to Brunei, Myanmar, Cambodia, Timor-Leste, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand or Vietnam for a little baby shopping.

Let me know.

You can run the street with yo thugs I'll be waiting for you Until you get through

Well that's what I'm listening to right now. A little 2Pac (he move to Tupac later). Oh well yesterday Tupac came on the radio and it took me back to fun times in high school.

So if you get a chance listen to some music that was released in 1996 and think about all the (hopefully) fun times you had.

Today's Poll

Update: 100% of the vote goes to Vodka

Today must be blog love day

Well you know this blogging thing became so much easier when I found other blog to steal from. But this way I can select specific material for my 3 to 4 readers. Well today Pop Candy has some pretty good stuff (items, things, musings) on it.

For one today is National Potato Chip Day. Here's a chip article.

And its also Pi Day. You know the math thing.

Which made me think of pie. I want pie now.

Also on Pop Candy Whitney asks what's your favorite cover song. Something to think about. She also list her top 20.

Anyway.

ted.

Today must be the day for cross posting

Well While check out Pam's Blog she had a link about this denim store, The Jean House.

I really want to go and check it out. You know I'm all about the shopping.

ted.

So do you want the good news or bad news first?

Well the story works better if I give you the good news first.

Yesterday I bought a cute new purse at Target. I wanted something a little bigger than most of my purses I have a lot of stuff.

Here is a picture of the purses:

Which leads me to the bad news.

I opened the purse to get my camera to take a picture which I did. I turned it on and the display screen is busted. How sad. I wonder if I can get that fixed or if it is time to buy a new camera with money I don't have. Well the camera does work as you can tell by the picture I just posted but it makes me sad.

Update:
It will cost me $150 to get the LCD repaired. I might as well buy a new camera.

Genetics in the morning

So I open my email this morning to find pictures of a black baby boy with blue eyes. Kind of weird but it made me think about high school biology and being taught something relating to this eye color thing.

Well I don't remember what my bastard of a biology teacher told us but I am sure he did it all while staring at the girls in the class. He was a perv. Anyway.

This all leads to my first google search of the day (eye color).

Here are some links that you might find interesting.

What will your children's eye color be?

What's your inner eye color?

This might be weird or I'm weird but my inner eye color is brown and so it my outer eye color.
Your Inner Eye Color Is Brown

You're smart, thoughtful, and the ideal woman for most men
You are kind and easy to trust. Men open up to you like no one else.
It's this inner warmness that attracts guys - and makes you an instant soulmate.

Another weird eye color calculator.

And the trusty old wikipedia entry, that freaked me out. You know how one eye freaks me out.

So me and my friend have a movie night which is Monday's. Since the great advent of the show Heroes I have been missing out on all the fun. Well we started a blog. I don't know what I mean by we yet but we'll see. Anyway we will list the movies we've watched and comment.

But, anyway http://caltechgirlsworld.mu.nu/archives/211861.php.

Fuck you cell phone companies.

ted.

Would you?

Check this out. http://www.voltier.com/hot/

Since I didn't have a poll for today I'll link to another. I didn't take this poll but my answer is not. Would I use this bathroom. Yes it is kind of creepy but it is much like the bathroom at La Perla. the things that gets me is that it is in the middle of the street.

Questions to think about. Who cleans this thing? How many people have used this thing before you and after its last cleaning? What the hell is wrong with people from Houston, TX?

ted.

Since Iam still struggling on blogging material

You guys get an itemized list (I don't know if that is what it will be since Iam not sure what technically makes it itemized, whatever.)of my purchases today. This is going to be really exciting since I only bought a few things today.

~8:45am coffee from Enderis Hall $1.30
~11:50am Cheetos vending machine ground floor Sabin Hall $0.90 (expensive I know)
~11:55am chocolate and caramel candy bar from kitchen (for charity I guess) $1.00
~2:40pm Superheros stamps from usps.com$8.80 ($1 s&h)

Don't you all love me for sharing. I know I need to get my spending habits under control.

Well, well

So I am pleased to say that it is nice out today. Like actually Spring-like warm weather. According to The Weather Channel it is 54 degrees. I'm happy for now at least.

In other news. I had bills to pay and Netflix movies to send back but had no clue where the nearest mailbox was. When I am at home I can look out of my window and avoid the mailbox. I have had these bills and movies ready to be mailed for days. I guess that's not the point. I went to the trusty internet (I say that now knowing later it will let me down) to find the closest mailbox. This is what I found. A Mailbox Locator, nice huh. Except that I live in a stupid zip code that is both Milwaukee and Shorewood. So I had to look under Shorewood. Anyway.

I'm trying here. Although it is nice out I'm stuck inside and therefore my brain refuses to produce blog worthy material.

ted.

I have no idea...

what to blog about today. I'll try to think of something cool and some fun stuff too.

Wish me luck.

GIrl Scouts should be arrested

I am eating crack cookies (Thanks-A-Lot) and they are great.

I know but I will anyway...

Well on Valentine's Day I made all these hearts to put on my blog and then my computer crapped out and I never posted them. I still have the hearts and the should no go unnoticed.

So here they are:

My Reading List

Well since I am trying to better myself by reading I have started to compile a reading list. I think it is debatable whether my reading list will better me but if tv makes me smart books should too, right?

I am currently reading:
Grammar Snobs are Great Big Meanies by June Casagrande

Book of the list are:
Smashed by Koren Zailckas
The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien
Middlesex by Jeffery Eugenides
Wolves of the Calla by Stephen King
Song of Susannah by Stephen King
The Dark Tower by Stephen King
Be Honest--You're Not That into Him Either by Ian Kerner
And The There Were None by Agatha Christie
Rose Madder by Stephen King

There are a lot of books here and I probably won't read them in this particular order and I am willing to add more. I also have all but two of these books at home so we will see what happens.

Dead Superheroes

Not news to most but it may be for some but Marvel killed off Captain America. I didn't read the whole story but in case you want to: http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/books/03/07/captain.america/index.html

ok I think it was Jenni who said that she wished that she could see the date of when people posted comments. Well after reading comments today, I thought the date would be nice and I should investigate.

I investigated and it took me a whopping 5 seconds to make the change I hope you all like it.

I don't know but it could be possible.

Reading a book about grammar doesn't make me weird does it??

I read your comment about Oklahoma City and that sucks. Still working at 10:40pm, what kind of torture are they inflicting upon you. I hope you are feeling better and come home soon, I miss you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New Week

Hi all!! This is a new week so I will put in a renewed effort to blog.

So news in my world. I went to a bookstore yesterday and browsed for quite a while. Ien did buy two books and a little journal.

The journal is small and it is my new writing journal. I had a writing journal before for class I liked it but it had to be type written and that is just not who I am when it comes to journaling. Well I will try to write down my thoughts on a pretty regular basis about my writing experiences.

On to one of the books I bought and the one that I am currently reading. I vow to make it through the whole book without picking up a new book to read. It is called Grammar snobs are great big meanies by June Casagrande. Ok it is a grammar book but it is humorous and I like it. Why not poke fun a people who have to correct everything you say.

Anyway I will tell you about the other book when I start to read it as I can't fully remember its title.

More blog entries coming soon.

New TV show

So last night (I think) I watched a show called "Are you smarter than a 5th grader". Which I find brilliant because most adults are not. There are categories ranging from 1st to 5th grade level with subjects like US geography, spelling, math, things like that. I tried to play along but it was hard.

Picture Time

New picture taken two days ago.

Hi

I don't know what to do with myself right now. I feel like I have just come off of a happy high. Like I was really happy for a while and now its all over. But unlike sugar highs I don't know how to fix this. Oh well I will go home in a few hours and la in my bed until Monday.

My Nose...

is a mess.

The end.
