Well I don't know what to say

So I guess there is no polite way of posting this article. I am not quite sure what to think but here it goes.

Oral sex can cause throat cancer

The article states that "people who have had more than five oral-sex partners in their lifetime are 250% more likely to have throat cancer than those who do not have oral sex"

Well I guess that is something to think about.

that might slow down the ladies and fella's who are wet behind the ears, but for the majority of the population who's probably already at or over 5 partners (i dunno that seems like a low number to me as a former college student) what's the point in stopping now?

and what's the alternative - having sex with everyone you were giving blow jobs too? yeah because there are no diseases or consequences to that...i guess i don't understand what they are trying to scare us into as an alternative. (maybe i should read the actual article ;)

either way - i would be more concerned about getting throat cancer from smoking and/or second hand smoke than giving BJs.

yeah I don't know. it seems there's no way of winning. you have sex with too many people you get cervical cancer. if you give bjs to too many people you get throat cancer.

I think if you do anything that has anything remotely related to sex you get cancer.

I guess you have to choose your cancer.

yeah - that or this is a scare tactic to try and get kids to not be sexually active with multiple partners.

I'm sure if you dug deep enough, you can tie anything to cancer. it's a horrible disease - no matter where you get it and i'm not making light of that...

just saying that a few bj's seem a lot better than a bunch of 15 year olds getting pregnant because they don't want throat cancer.

now that i read that it sounds like i'm an advocate for having lots-o-partners at young ages - which i'm not.

I'm just being realistic because right now that's how it goes and no abstinence lesson or scare tactic is going to stop it.
