I have a problem

Well I am big on saying please and thank you and if I am not particularly crabby excuse me. Today I am walking through Enderis to get coffee and as I am leaving Denemark Lounge a guy gets on the elevator. I didn't hear anything but there was a guy already on the elevator and the new elevator guy says "4". Well I immediately say "please". I should know I can't say please and thank you for other people but for some reason I sometimes do. I may be losing it.

Even after I thought "Tamara its crazy to say please for other people" I have the thought that please was probably not the right response (from me or the "4" guy) it should have been "thank you" because I would hope "4" guy wouldn't be so rude as to yell out a number at a guy to push on the elevator and that in fact he must have been prompted in some way.

What do you all think?

SNL

So I can't tell you the last time I sat down to watch Saturday Night Live. Like many others who have stopped watching have said "I think it lost it funny". Although I must say that Tina Fey as Sarah Palin is pretty funny. Anyway I have been reading lately that Mark Wahlberg (one of my favorites - give me a moment while I close my eyes and think of him in his Calvin Klein undies) did not find the Mark Wahlberg talks to Animals sketch not funny. I must admit if I would have watched it live I wouldn't have found it funny either but the fact that Mr. Marky Mark is all over the gossip pages about such a sketch is kind of humorous.

Here's the video:

Matt Damon's take on Sarah Palin

It's soapbox time

Well, well mixed reviews of Quantum of Solace theme song. That being the new James Bond movie. Today it was debuts on a UK radio station. http://tinyurl.com/4l3yaa you can check it out on Buzz Sugar.

In the UK (at least that radio station) loved it. I have only listened to it once and I liked it. I'll have to listen a few more times though.

Here are my thoughts on the matter. When you do a collaboration with very popular artists in different genres of music you are bound to have varying opinions.

Where do I stand?

I like Alicia Keys. Some times I think her heavier, husky voice needs the right music to accompany it. Maybe I'm crazy but I loved the first two albums and half loved the third.

Jack White definitely has an interesting sound, that I love. Listening to The Raconteurs' Carolina Drama. Both vocally and as a guitarist.

When I first heard of the pair I thought that will be interesting. I am not ready to cast my vote about how well they meshed their sounds together. Take a listen, what do you think?

One Tree HIll

As I start watching this week's episode I find out someone dies. Then think I must of missed something did I watch last week's episode. I though I did, well I go back and notice that by some late night genius moment I have. I didn't watch the last ten minutes. It is a hazard of starting to watch a show at 10pm or 10:15pm. Well I go back and I already know someone will die then watch. I am thinking what the hell. So I start watching this week's episode again. It is extremely sad.

I don't understand why they killed off Q (Quentin) but we are only 3 shows into the season. I hope something clarifies it soon. What's the big setup.

Well Brooke is continuing to lie about how she got so beat up. She has been telling everyone she fell down the stairs (well tumbled) at this point I don't think anyone believes her. She has been going to the shoot ranges to learn how to use a gun. I have a feeling that if push comes to shove she will shoot her mother.

The crazy nanny still has Dan locked away in her house. Dan tried to escape again this time out the back way collapsing onto the son grave. Which I thought was really weird. Who buries their kid in the backyard. There is more story behind this I am sure. Dan sympathizes with her but she's batshit so who knows how she will spin it.

Like I said this episode comes right after everyone learns that Q has been shot (at a gas station on his way home from basketball practice). It comes out at his funeral that Deb (Nathan's mom) is sleeping with one of the coaches and Nathan's good friend Skills (Antwon). She goes to console him at the funeral. I thought that was a touching moment (there will be fallout from that also).

Gish there was so much more I wish I knew someone who watched so I have someone to discuss with. Until then I will tell Michael everything there is to know about the show.

ugh

I know that I am a little nutty so I thing I have the right to judge other crazies. I have deemed someone to be batshit crazy and to hear them talk incessantly for thirty minutes to an hour will drive me out of my mind.

My tivo and me

Since I got the tivo in March of this year I have put a lot of faith in this electronic piece of equipment. I have gotten so used to not having to be at home to watch my beloved tv that the Tivo is highly depended on. ABC's stay at home week is about to start and boy I have a lot of tv watching to do. I am already a week behind on All my Children and General Hospital (dailies) and I have 4 Burn Notice's to watch. I have to finish the 4th season of The Office so that when that starts to tivo I won't be two behind.

If we're friends (and you don't work at UWM (in some cases))...

you can send me a text message that says "do you want to go to a fish fry on friday 4 my work fundraiser?"

and I will say yes (if I am not already booked) because that's what friends do.

ok I like fish.

Plus I am a sucker for raising money for good organizations and friends that need help.

If we're friends (without any stipulations of where you work)...

you could text me and say "do you want to go to Chuck E. Cheese so we can make fun of kids and their parents while eating pizza and drinking beer" I'd say yes because that sounds like a fun time.

There are tons of text messages you could send me and I would say yes to, except for maybe going to a dairy eating contest (and I'd think long and hard about this especially if it was and ice cream and cheese eating contest (i'm lactose intolerant - and I think I would go but not participate) before saying I don't know.

If we're not friends, I'd tell you to suck it and never text me again. (ok that wouldn't happen - I'd probably say no (and then when you asked why I'd say 'because I don't want to, get off my back').

I also think that I may be losing my mind.

A change in affliction

So I use to post about how bad my nose was behaving and although it still has its moments. I take a slew of meds for my allergies so my nose is ok. I made a post yesterday on Twitter about how the dentist was taking over my life. I have a dentist appointment to day in fact. I just had this really weird thought about what I could use as a replacement to the nose posts. Get ready for this...

"My teeth haven't fallen out yet"

I know it is bizarre which now makes me want to look up why teeth would just fall out without extensive trauma.
