Weeds

So I watched the first episode of the season and I must say it grabbed my attention, in a way that ensures that i will watch the rest of the season. The antics that a mom/pot dealer can get into at hilarious.

So here's a good one...

So a friend asked me if I would be a sub on their volleyball team. I apparently not thinking clearly decided sure, why not. Last night I got a text message about playing on the 26th. Again apparently not thinking clearly I said sure. Thing is I can't play volleyball. Of course I have played before (in high school). What have I got myself into.

Well

We all know that I like to blog about the really trivial things in life. Well because I think that that's what makes life funny. One thing that I am reserving for other people to comment on is my extreme clumsiness. I had a coffee incident the other day and I mean catastrophic. Catastrophic to the floor to my jeans (I had to crawl under the table - a complete other subject). Extremely funny for Beth and Isaiah.

I have a history of coffee incidents. This time it wasn't all over me and the chair I was sitting in. I will not divulge any information about that chair or its whereabouts. I think it may have something to do with the fact that my chair doesn't have armrests. I don't know. I often make up things to support my theories. That's what college taught me.

Anyway, I hope everyone has an awesome day. I have officially finished my cup of coffee for today with absolutely no spills.

These are the days I wish I could program

So I want a program similar to the stickies program on the Mac. It is a desktop post it note application. I have found a variety of programs. The one I like the most cost some amount of money and has some sort of banner. So I found one for free and it just doesn't do what I would like it to do. I mean it can take that much to let me put a title in the title bar. Oh and stay on the desktop.

Computers.

Poor Poor Blog

I miss you. I have been in transition with computers and stuff, so no posts. I will try to find some post worthy info soon. Oh I had a coffee incident yesterday. I will tell you more about that later.

Benedryl: A No-No

Man I should never take Benedryl in the middle of the day. I am really tired now.

UGH

I go to write out my rent check. Which upsets me because I just want to pay it online.

Secondly I have 39¢ stamps. For the life of me I can't generate that cent symbol. Anyway I have know clue how much stamps cost, but if I could do the above I wouldn't need stamps.

I am full of wonderful goodness today.

TV

I'm sad I am really behind on my tv watching. It's actually funny for me since I am currently watching a total of 5 shows max. I wonder what will happen when I add two more in the mix later this month.

August 13th - Weeds (season premiere) and Californication with David Duchovny (series premiere) starts. I watched the first episode of Californication and liked it. It is on Showtime and will be on after Weeds.

Those are the two that I am adding.

The shows I am currently watching:

The 4400 - Sunday @ 8pm
Entourage - Sunday @ 9pm
John from Cincinnati - Sunday @ 9:30pm
Burn Notice - Thursday @ 9pm

So four shows and I am behind on all but one.

Nose Update

This blog long ago stopped reporting on my nose. Generally it has been having a good couple of months. Everything has seemed to healed properly. There's no bleeding. Like I said generally good. 2 days ago (only during the day) my nose has been running. I have no clue why (well I do). But I feel fine.

When I started this blog so long ago it was full of nose updates. I have allergy issues.

Rent

Almost forgot to pay my rent this month. That should be a surprise to no one. Man am I good. I wish I could do a electronic payment.

The Martini Fairy

Well I got this in email and most of these are so true that I had to share.
(Oh it's all pictures so I have to types it. Suck)

When girls drink to much...

1. We have absolutely no idea where our purse is.

2. We believe that dancing with our arms overhead and wiggling our butt while yelling "woohoo" is truly the sexiest dance move.

3. We've suddenly decided that we want to kick someone's ass and honestly believe we could do it.

4. In our last bathroom visit we realize that we now look more like a homeless hooker than the goddess we were just four hours ago.

5. We start crying and telling everyone we see that we love them sooooo much.

6.We et extremely excited and jump up and down every time a new song plays because "oh my god! I love this song."

7. We've found a deeper/spiritual side to the geek sitting next to us.

8. We've suddenly taken up smoking and becoming really good at it.

9. We yell at the bartender, who we believe cheated us by giving us just lemonade, but that's just because we can no longer taste the gin.

10. We think we are in bed, but our pillow feels strangely like the kitchen floor (or the mop?).

11. We fail to notice that the toilet lid is down when we sit on it.

12. We take our shoes off because we believe it's their fault that we're having problems walking straight.

The Time 100

I have no clue when this article was release and frankly don't care to find out. I just want to share the list.

Time identifies their top 100 in five categories: artists and entertainers, leaders and revolutionaries, heroes and pioneers, scientists and thinkers, and builders and titans.

Food Holidays

http://www.slashfood.com/category/holidays/

Excuse Me!!!

Why didn't anyone tell me that yesterday was National Tequila Day! I would have done a shot.

What We Rememebr

Well everyone knows I am about as deep as an ice tray and I rarely take myself serious. But I have to share.

Yesterday was the anniversary Steve Castner's Death. He was killed in Iraq by a roadside bomb. Yesterday wasn't that hard for me. It was the day before. I have a google alert set to sent me a message every time his name shows up in an online publication. On July 23rd, I got seven alerts. Reading those were rough. Mainly because his unit (forgive me for my military speak) is coming home. Some already here I think the rest are coming home Sunday. He was the only one not to return home. Its bittersweet, I am so happy that they are back and safe. But I miss Steve. I know his parents went to welcome the troops home I can't imagine being so strong.

I remember getting the phone call and saying "Are you joking?". I mean what a cruel joke but one that I wish was true. I left my office because I needed to talk to friends or just be around friends. I am sure it was the first time I have ever hyperventilated. I don't know if you ever felt like you were losing your breath but it is a sense of panic and despair that no one should have to deal with.

I think it's funny that I can see my little stuffed panther, Hector P., and vividly see Castner shoving him into his mouth. Or coming to work (Where Hector used to live) and not seeing Hector on the top of my monitor and knowing directly where to go.

Weird just thinking about gives me this sinking feeling that makes it hard to type. I have had a hard time writing about that day or Castner. This is me forcing myself to put feelings down on "paper" that are still so new.

This is too stressful, so...

Well I had to see it so - So do you

All I can say is what is this craziness.

Announcement

I have made the first real post to a new blog that a friend and I started. The idea is totally ripped off but I am sure we will somehow make this original in its own right. I have been struggling with a title and have (for the moment at least) penned it Food Porn. Well the foodies out there get it. I enjoy food as do most people I know.

I thin the original idea was dinner and I am sure it will stick to that meal to write about. Although I am sure some special meals or something that the contributors are super proud of will be featured.

So of course I have to link it to death.

If you really have to

So you know who my favorite musician is?

Well if you ever wondered if celebrities enjoyed the art of teabagging before, wonder no more. Not being teabagged or even teabagging but the sheer essence of teabaging. Head over to John Mayer's blog and read July 23rd's entry. No its not graphic and is safe for work. Plus if you scroll down a little there is a picture of horses.

Bus Stops

So I left my apartment today just missing the bus. Instead of going back home and waiting I decided to stay they and wait it out. Today pre-9am weather was weird in a way. I was standing there thinking this weather could go either way, it could get really cold or really warm. I did catch the weather today and although I am not a trained meteorologist I do just fine by going outside for a few minutes. Anyway I had a idea of what the weather would be like. I have spent to much time discussing the weather with my keyboard so moving on.

Next I am standing there staring into people's cars like I do in the mornings. You know I am slightly to nosy for my own good. Some guy driving a truck (like ups/fedex sized) decided he should yell "hey sexy". Well I can't say that I noticed that I looked really good this morning but apparently other people did. There were lots of staring and the bus driver called me sweetheart. Maybe I looked like I needed a compliment.

(as a side note: the benefits office called - they have decided that they are going to get back to me - again, thanks)

Back to the morning. Nothing wrong with liking yourself right. Its even better when other people like you too. I also saw a guy today in a really nice suit on a motorcycle. It looked a little odd but I know it happens everyday. Too bad he didn't wear a helmet. It will be such a shame if he get blood and brain matter al over that nice suit.

Oh I have two monster bug bites that have swelled. my arms look pretty weird.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

So I watched this movie this weekend and it wasn't bad. I mean it wasn't something that's a must watch again but oh well.

On a side note I reduced my Netflix queue dramatically. I need to remove some of the clutter from my life and it was starting to feel like clutter.

Ice Cream

Well we are almost 10 days into National Ice Cream month and I have had one (maybe 2) scoop on the first. I need to do some major ice cream eating soon.

Anyone a fan of Dead Like Me?

Well I one saw one episode and I liked it and I know its been a while. The movie is being filmed I guess. I just read Ellen Muth myspace blog entry about it. She also says that after the movie there is a possibility for the show to go back to series.

For all those who care.

I completely forgot about this.

Well on the 4th I watched soap operas. It was great. Now that I have a 9 to 5 I can't watch them. I don't have any of the marvels of technology that will record them for me. I wish though. I need to make the big bucks. That's coming I hope.

All My Children - wasn't surprised at what was going on. I don't know when the last time I watched any of them but they are predictable.

One Life To Live - A little surprised. Jessica was out of the hospital and doing better. I don't know how they fixed her up but she was home.

General Hospital - I love this one. Nothing new to me. I wish I could watc more often.

What's New?

Well I see that blogger has added a poll feature I just hope that it will allow me to post the results. Not sure how it works. Check out the side bar to used it.

OMG!!!!!

There is one of the biggest flies ever in the office with me. I am currently have a spaz attack because I don't want it to do weird thigs to me.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mail Inquiry

I know by the time I get my bermuda shorts it will be November and I should not get upset about this at all. I can't help myself and can feel the tension starting to build.

So I bought bermuda shorts online because the store didn't have them and I wanted the sale. They apparently were picked up in VA July 3rd. The last check point was WV today. The estimated delivery, and this is the part that angers me, is July 10th. They are supposedly shipping through the United States Postal Service. Which mean some crap-ass local shipping company probably dropped it off. Anyway 7 days including the holiday. I know I don't ship things and I'm overreacting because I can but it seems a little outrageous.

ted

So you know when your famous...

You should probably know that there are cameras everywhere. So I recently saw a picture of Rebecca Gayheart grabbing Eric Dane's crotch. Mind you he is her husband and when she wants a handful she should get a handful. The thing is that picture is much like hickeys to me. We all know you have sex, why announce it.

Its actually quite disturbing to me.

Well Well

So on August 3rd my nephew isn't going to be the only on getting gifts (that's his birthday), I am getting a gift too. The Bourne Ultimatum opens in theaters. I must say I have a fondness for this series of movies. It could have a high correlation with my fondness for Matt Damon. Anyway. How exciting?

John Mayer Awesomeness

Well I don't know if anyone could deny that the concert last night was awesome. I had so much fun. I missed most of Brenner's (Brett Dennen) set he came on early than expected. Ben Folds was also a fun time. What can I can I say about John Mayer. 12 guitar solos. 1.5 hours of excellence. Wonderful. I sang and screamed like a crazy person but who would expect anything different. So much fun. I will have to send him an email thanking him for a great time. I am glad Beth came with and had fun. After his concert he went over to Buddy Guy's stage and performed with him. I could say much more but you guys should have come.

I am drawing a bit of a blank of what to write but I think as all the awesomeness sets in I will have bursts of things I must share.

It shouldn't be a surprise

That I have been listening to the guy counting to 1 million. I cannot believe that he would actually go through with this. Makes me want to do something for charity . Definitely for a shorter time period.

If you haven't checked it out do so.

Yay!!!!

It's John Mayer day.

The Napkin Fiction Project

I think this is so interesting and this is something that I should do for my writing group. Well Esquire decided to do a Napkin Fiction Project. They sent out 250 napkin to writers and hoped for the best. They have gotten over 100 responses. You can read what the works here.

I love this idea.

This so reminds me of...

The insurance commercials where the people are on the reality show in which their house is "too small". Ok this may be nothing like that but it would be something that I would love to watch on tv.

So a couple newly engaged has vowed to only communicate with each other through custom M&Ms for one month. For each day they last they will receive $1000 dollars.

Boy is this brillant.

You can go to mym&ms.com to watch their progress.

I should start a career doing these stunt and reality tv. I'd be awesome.

TV watching

So I watched an episode (season 4 episode 2) yesterday before movie night and I loved it. Super funny as always. I watched it with people who have never watched the show though. I don't know if they got it but it was a pretty awesome episode. That Billy Walsh is a crazy man. I think everyone should watch it. It has something for everyone.

I think its time to get really pumped

I just looked at the calendar and it is a week until John Mayer's concert. So that means I will have to start playing John Mayer around the office (and Ben Folds, I guess). Beth needs to get pumped to. Time is flying by. Summer always goes by so quickly. I guess it is time to do as much fun stuff as I can possibly pack into to one summer.

Hungry

Iam currently looking at a Jimmy John's catering menu because the last time I order they attached this to the bag. No I am not having Jimmy John's for lunch but started to look at the pictures. To torture myself mainly. Well I've had catered JJs before and at no point did it look like the picture. First of all they are cut in much smaller portions and the top portion of the bread is never cut curvy to allow space for the lettuce and mayo.

Interesting

David Hasselhoff won custody of his two teenage daughters, ages 14 and 17.

We have all heard/seen the drunken cheeseburger tape. So that makes you wonder about the ex-wife. I am not saying he is not fit to parent as everyone has a drunken cheeseburger moment or two in their life. Usually in their 20s though.

Here is the CNN article.

TV news

John Larroquette is joining the cast (as a regular) of Boston Legal (well according to CNN).

That should be an interesting combination of actors and personalities.

Tune in nest season to check it out.

Man has it been a while

or whatever. I haven't been blogging much lately and I am sadden by the fact. I should reinvigorate my blogging by talking a little about John Mayer(or just linking to him). I think I have been neglecting my obsession with him.

Well here is a link to his blog once again.

He's crazier than ever and I love it. (No not rehab crazy)

Well if you are at all amused by R. Kelly

Visit this blog: Scotty "I would do him" Crowe

Read the May 17, 2007 entry for an interesting take on I'm a flirt. I would have linked directly but you know it doesn't have that feature.

Update: I really have language handicaps. Why do I always confuse amuse with assume. I fixed it though.

John Mayer

You all know that I think John Mayer is funny and that's why I like in so very much. Well After reading his last blog entry I think he maybe crazy. Oddly enough this peaks my interest a little more. I am a little crazy but that's beside the point. Although I don't think there was a point just that I wanted to write about John Mayer.

I also try to stay away John Mayer's love life/relationships because I'm just not interested in that area of his life. But someone (and she knows who she is) asked me if I had heard anything about whether he had moved on to banging groupies since he was done banging Jessica. I don't know if this is true and I may have to searc the gossip blogs for some maybe true info. I just thought it was funny and that maybe I should email him to find out. My readers want to know.

I don't know

I don't know what to do. Is there going to be addition weather? If so what kind and why. I know its windy but I have an important trip to Walgreens tonight and I don't want to run into any trouble, weather or otherwise.

I have looked at radars and many forecasts. I can't read them because I am not a meteorologist.

Would you watch this series?

I just ran across a link to a site that generates TV series pitch ideas.

Check it out you might find an idea to write a pilot about.

Dreams

So last night I have a bizzaro land dream. The details I am not ready to share yet because I haven't quite possible. What I can tell you is that there was a fictional radio personality (I have never seen the guy in my dream before). He was also sick, I don't know what type of sickness though.

Still processing. I should stop turning on my radio and falling back to sleep.

Let's talk Irony

Well I left my house 45 minutes ago to go to Walgreens 3 1/2 blocks from my house. As I am walking I see all the debris from the big moves that happened on the East Side. I am thinking to myself how I am definitely not a heavy lifter. I hate moving because you have to pack your stuff and carry it twice. Anyway I look up and see a figure that is static on the corner (2 blocks from my apt.). I wanted to avert the situation but I am also lazy and was like I'll pass it. As I get closer I see it is a guy in a wheelchair. This reminded me of the weird guy (in a wheelchair) that lurked around UWM riding the elevators that once you were in the elevator with him would ask women to zip up his pants. Anyway. I get to the corner and this guy starts talking to me and I don't understand him. He says he needs help. I think "SHIT". Too get to the point his power wheelchair has lost most of his power and asked me would I push him to the group home. It is about to rain and this guy is jumping at the sound of thunder. I say ok. Although half way down the block I regret saying yes. He has to use the little power he has in the chair to assist me pushing him. We get to the end of the block I am sure I am having an asthma attack. I keep on trekking. It starts to rain. Sprinkling at first not good. I finally get him to the group home which is across the street from my place. NOW I have to go back to Walgreens. I need a nap.
